Three youths electrocuted
LAHORE
Three youths were electrocuted while loading household items into a truck at Harbanspura on Friday.
The victims were identified as Kashif, 20, Ibrahim, 23 and Moazam Ali, 28. They were loading household items into a truck and a piece of iron touched a high voltage live wire. As a result, they sustained critical burns. They were rushed to hospital where they were pronounced dead.
Later, locals staged a protest demonstration on Shalimar Link Road against live wires hanging over their houses and chanted slogans against Lesco.
Youth murdered: A 24-year-old man was murdered during an incident of firing at Nishter Colony on Friday.
Police said victim Muhammad Bilal was standing at a bus stand near Gajjumata. Suddenly, two unidentified motorcyclists opened indiscriminate firing at him. He sustained bullet wounds and was removed to hospital where doctors pronounced him dead.
Police have removed the body t0 morgue and are searching for the suspects.
Killed on road: A 22-year-old man died when a speeding dumper truck hit him near Manawan on Friday.
Victim Adil, a resident of Karim Park, was going on a bike and going near Elite Training School when a dumper truck hit him. He was injured and removed to hospital where he was pronounced dead.

found dead: Two men, both unidentified so far, were found dead in different areas of the City on Friday.
A 25-year-old man was found dead in the Lorry Adda police area and a 35-year-old man in the Yaki Gate area.
A passersby informed police about the men lying unconscious. Police removed them to hospitals where the doctors pronounced them dead. Police said both looked addicts and they might have died of overdoses of drugs. However, police said, autopsies would help ascertain the cause of their deaths. Police were searching for the families.
injured: A suspect was injured and his accomplice fled during an encounter with police at Gulshan-e-Iqbal on Friday.
A police team was on patrol near Karim Block. They signaled two motorcyclists to stop but they opened indiscriminate firing on police. Police retaliated in the same fashion and injured one of them while his accomplice fled from the scene.
Police have admitted the suspect to hospital. Police refused to reveal the identity of the suspect They are searching for his accomplice and investigating the matter.
arrested: Sabzazar police claimed to have arrested six gamblers on Friday.
The suspects were arrested by a special police team during a raid conduced on a hideout following secret information. A laptop, mobile phones and thousands of rupees of stakes money were seized from their custody. The accused were identified as Khizar Hayat, Waseem Shahid, Imran, Ammar, Adnan and Abdul Jabbar. A case has been registered against them.
