Inquiry into recruitment on fake certificates begins
From Our Correspondent
BAHAWALPUR: A committee headed by Bahawal Victoria Hospital (BVH) AMS Dr Tahira on Thursday initiated an inquiry against 30 employees for their recruitment on fake certificates during the tenure of the then MS Dr Irshad Ahmad about two years ago.
The committee called the 30 employees for hearing through a letter but later postponed it due to the visit of the Health secretary. The inquiry was initiated on the orders of Health Director General Punjab Dr Mukhtar Shah.
When contacted, the inquiry committee head refused to give any comment. She said that Medical Superintendent Rao Javed Akhtar, who was in Lahore, had strictly directed her not to talk with media persons on the issue.
It is learnt that some of the accused employees have reportedly managed to remove their fake certificates from the service books.
