DCO warns stern action on display of weapons in Faisalabad

FAISALABAD: District Coordination Officer (DCO) Noorul Amin Mengal Tuesday said the ban on display and carrying weapons would strictly be implemented and a stern action would be taken against violators without any discrimination in connection with the local government elections in the district. Chairing a meeting held here to finalise the security and other administrative arrangements for the local government elections, he said a solid strategy had been evolved to maintain law and order and protection of people’s lives and property. The DCO said the district administration would extend full support and assistance to the Election Commission of Pakistan for holding free, fair and peaceful elections. He said that transport plan had also been prepared for providing the logistic support to the election commission.
