Visits house of Imtiaz Ahmad Shaheed; says school will be named after him

Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif visited the house of Naik Imtiaz Ahmad Shaheed in Faisalabad who was martyred in unprovoked firing of Indian forces on Line of Control.
He met the parents and the family of Naik Imtiaz Ahmad Shaheed and sympathised with them.
According to a handout, the chief minister also went to the local graveyard at Hajveri Town, Sargodha Road and laid a wreath at the grave of the martyred and offered Fateha. He announced upgrading and naming the local school after martyred Imtiaz Ahmad.
Paying tribute to courage and bravery of Naik Imtiaz Ahmad Shaheed, Shahbaz Sharif said that he had set a noble example by sacrificing his life in the defence of the country and the whole nation was proud of him. He said Naik Imtiaz Ahmad Shaheed and Hawaldar Juma Khan Shaheed were heroes of Pakistani nation. He said no one dare cast an evil eye on Pakistan in the presence of such brave sons as Naik Imtiaz Ahmad Shaheed. He said Naik Imtiaz Ahmad Shaheed was an asset and pride of Pakistan Army as well as the whole nation. He said the sacrifice of Naik Imtiaz Ahmad would not waste and Kashmiris would win freedom.
Shahbaz Sharif said he salutes the courage of the elderly parents of Naik Imtiaz Ahmad Shaheed. He said Pakistani nation as well as the Punjab government was with the family of Naik Imtiaz Ahmad Shaheed and he would do everything possible for the daughters of the martyr.
Talking to media, the chief minister said that Pakistan was passing through a critical phase and there was a need for national unity and solidarity. He said it was time to promote harmony instead of chaos and anarchy. He said those who were promoting confusion and conflict in the Pakistani nation were betraying the blood of the martyrs.
Chinese leadership: Shahbaz Sharif has said CPEC will be made a role model and the all-out effort would be made for achieving its objectives. He said the Chinese investment of $46 billion would increase to thousands of billion dollars in future. He said China had helped Pakistan in difficult circumstances and a new era of progress and prosperity had ushered in due to China-Pakistan Economic Corridor projects.
The chief minister felicitated Chinese President Xi Jinping, Premier Li Keqiang, leadership of Communist Party of China and the people on the 67th National Day of Peoples Republic of China.
According to a handout, in a message, the chief minister said Pakistan was the first country that recognised China as a free and independent country. He said China had become the second biggest force of the world due to its excellent economic policies. He said China had emerged as a defence force in a very short period with the efforts of Chinese leadership. He said rapid progress of China was a role model for other countries.
Shahbaz Sharif said Pakistan and China had same stance over international affairs regarding peace and mutual respect. He said a new era of Pak-China friendship had started in the tenure of Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif and the relations between the two countries had turned into useful economic contacts. He said historic economic package of China was a splendid gift, which the Pakistani would never forget.
He said CPEC would be made a role model and the all-out effort would be made for achieving its objectives. He said the Chinese investment of $46 billion would increase to thousands of billion dollars in future. He said China had helped Pakistan in difficult circumstances and a new era of progress and prosperity had ushered in due to China-Pakistan Economic Corridor projects. He said energy projects set up under CPEC would remove darkness from the country. He said Pak-China friendship had become an example for the world and a new chapter of economic cooperation between the two countries had begun.
He said China had emerged as a great nation under the leadership of Communist Party of China due to sacrifices, dedication and hard work. He said innovation, research and hard work were essential for progress of China and both friends and foes respected China alike. He said ‘one belt, one road’ vision of Chinese President was a splendid vision for progress and prosperity. He said CPEC project would prove to be a game changer not only for Pakistan but the entire region. He said the Chinese leadership’s vision of speedy progress and prosperity of Pakistan was a big favour and Pakistan was lucky to have a friend like China.
He said the opponents of CPEC should remember that this project would never stop and would be forwarded speedily. He said no power on earth could check the pace of progress and prosperity through CPEC. He said metro train was a splendid project of public welfare and despite problems would be completed within stipulated period. He said the project was not of Lahore or Punjab but of the whole country.
