Several doctors appointed at KTH
PESHAWAR: After the recommendation by the selection and promotion committee and approval by the Board of Governors, the Khyber Teaching Hospital administration appointed specialist registrars, consultants and assistant anesthetists to strengthen health care services in the institution and improve patient care.
The hospital administration said these specialist lot would improve emergency services units i.e medical ICU, CCU, surgical ICU and Accident and Emergency Department. Medical Director Prof Roohul Moqim and Hospital Director Brig (retd) Dr Fazle Akbar termed it a great success for the institution and hoped they would play their role in improving the patient care.
Those appointed are Dr Abid Haleem, Senior Registrar surgical ICU, Dr Salman Malik Shahriyar Khan, specialist Registrar/ Consultant surgical ICU (Fixed Pay) for night), Dr Saba Saeed, specialist Registrar/ Consultant surgical ICU (Fixed Pay, for evening), Dr Shah Zeb, specialist Registrar/ Consultant medical ICU (fixed pay, for night), Dr. Alam Zeb Khan, specialist Registrar/ Consultant medical ICU (fixed pay, for evening), Dr. Abdul Ghafoor, specialist Registrar/ Consultant medical ICU (fixed pay, for night), Dr. Muhammad Kashif, specialist Registrar/ Consultant medical CCU (fixed pay, for evening), Dr. Yasir Hayat, specialist Registrar/ Consultant medical CCU (fixed pay, for evening, Dr. Muhammad Waqas, specialist Registrar/ Consultant medical CCU (fixed pay, for evening), Dr. Javedur Rahman, specialist Registrar/Consultant medical CCU (fixed pay) for Evening, Dr. Muhammad Rehanul Haq , Specialist Registrar/ Consultant Medical CCU (Fixed pay) for Night, Dr. Said Zaman , Specialist Registrar/ Consultant Medical CCU (Fixed pay) for Night.
Similarly, the following doctors were selected as assistant anesthetists in BPS-17 for Anesthesia Department KTH to overcome shortage of specialized anesthetists in the hospital. Due to their arrival, the Department of Anesthesia will be further strengthened and will enhance the quality and quantity of surgeries.
They are Dr. Javed Iqbal, Dr. Siddiqur Rahim, Dr. Muhammad Ishfaq Habib, Dr. Syed Salman Ali Shah, Dr. Yasir Islam, Dr. Hafiz Murad Khan, Dr. Asad Khan, Dr. Gulbano Tariq, and Dr. Jawad Hameed.
