Imran’s lie on Karachi SSP suspension exposed again

KARACHI: The CM’s spokesman said on Saturday night that certain political leaders had been giving an impression that the SSP Malir, Karachi, Rao Anwaar, was suspended from service on the directives of the prime minister. Such an impression is totally false, said the spokesman.

The spokesman said the CM had taken the administrative decision to this effect on his own as the telephone call of the prime minister to the chief minister on the issue came later.

He said the notion that the decision to surrender the services of DIG East Zone Dr Kamran Fazal to the federal government had been taken back was also totally wrong.

The letter by the Sindh government to the Establishment Division, Islamabad, for surrendering the services of the DIG East had already been sent. The spokesman said the Sindh govt had been taking necessary actions for ensuring good governance and the rule of law. He said that a democratically-elected government had been working in Sindh for the cause of protecting democratic norms.

He said the Sindh government would neither forgive any criminal nor it would commit any excesses against anyone.

The Sindh government wants that everybody should do his or her own work, said the CM’s spokesman.

It should be recalled here that Sindh CM Syed Murad Ali Shah ordered suspension from service of the SSP Malir and removal of DIG East in Karachi for their involvement in raiding the residence and arresting Leader of the Opposition in the Sindh Assembly Khawaja Izharul Hassan in Buffer Zone on Friday.

Political circles say Imran’s lies with regard to suspension of Rao Anwaar had been exposed again. PTI chief’s false allegation that the premier interfered in arrest of MQM leader Khawaja Izharul Hassan was highlighted by different channels throughout the day. At last the Chief Minister House had to clarify the situation.

These channels gave little coverage to this clarification as compared to the baseless allegation of Imran Khan. This is a clear injustice.
