CM’s mega uplift project to benefit locals: Channar

BAHAWALPUR: Punjab Cooperative Minister and Cholistan Development Authority Chairman Malik Muhammad Iqbal Channar Friday said the Punjab Chief Minister’s special mega development project for Cholistan would bring socio-economic relief for the locals.
Chairing a ceremony of giving 500 animals to residents of 30 water pounds of Cholistan area, Channar said the uplift project is of paramount significance for sustainable and exclusive development in Cholistan.
Earlier, he distributed 122 Cholistani bulls, 100 Sipli rams, 105 Buchi rams, 100 Jattal bucks and 100 Khadali rams amounting to Rs 20 million among the locals. Commissioner Bahawalpur Saqib Zafar said animals for Cholistan people are a gift from the Punjab government. He appreciated the efforts of the livestock department to devise a policy to promote livestock in Cholistan area.
