SBP for hassle-free ATM services during Eid holidays
KARACHI: The State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) has made special arrangements to facilitate general public for their banking-related needs on the occasion of Eid-ul-Azha, a statement said on Tuesday.
These measures are aimed at providing hassle-free banking services to the general public during the forthcoming Eid holidays. Being cognizant of the needs of the general public, the SBP has advised that all branches of commercial banks and Microfinance Banks (MFBs) will remain open on Saturday 10th September, 2016 from 9:00am to 5:30pm for provision of banking services to the members of general public.
Further, to ensure uninterrupted availability of ATM services during Eid-ul-Adha holidays, SBP has also advised all banks / Microfinance Banks to take necessary measures for facilitation of general public.
Moreover, SBP has already instructed all banks / Microfinance Banks to make special arrangements by installing Kiosks, automated teller machines and mobile ATMs at places of business such as cattle markets and bazaars, etc, for the facilitation of buyers and sellers in coordination with each other.
It has also been advised that cash needs should be assessed through continuous monitoring of automated teller machines to ensure timely replenishment of cash in automated teller machines.
