Citizen appeals to PHC, IGP to help recover 4 missing sons
PESHAWAR: A resident of Charsadda has appealed to the government, Peshawar High Court (PHC) and inspector general of police (IGP) to help recover his four sons who have been missing for two months.
Speaking at a press conference here on Sunday, Waris Khan of Gulabad Mera in Charsadda said his sons Alimullah, Hakimullah, Saidullah and Fazal Malik had a dispute with their step-brother Taj Muhammad.
He said that a son of Taj Muhammad was killed in a clash. However, the case was settled through a local jirga and Taj Muhammad pardoned his step-brothers.He claimed that Serdheri Station House Officer (SHO) Taimur Khan called his sons to police station on July 14, this year, to clear the first information report. He claimed that his sons Alimullah, Hakimullah, Saidullah and Fazal Malik and a taxi driver Shamsur Rahman along with the village elders went to the police station.
The SHO took the four brothers and taxi driver inside the police station and kept the village elders outside. He alleged that the five persons were shifted to an undisclosed location, adding that the SHO expressed ignorance when the family asked about the whereabouts of the five persons.
The resident said the SHO denied his involvement in the forced disappearance of his sons despite the fact the village elders were witness to the case as they had accompanied them to the police station.
He said he had approached high-ups of the police, including the district police officer (DPO) but nobody was ready to help him. Waris Khan appealed to the authorities concerned to recover his sons as they were the only breadwinners of respective families.
