Standard Chartered launches financial crime compliance e-portal
KARACHI: Standard Chartered recently launched the Correspondent Banking Academy eLearning portal in Pakistan. This portal would share the bank’s knowledge and experience in Financial Crime Compliance (FCC) with its Financial Institution clients in Pakistan, said a statement on Thursday.
The inauguration ceremony was held within the premises of the State Bank of Pakistan (SBP). Representing SBP at the occasion was SBP Deputy Governor Riaz Riazuddin, Executive Director Banking Supervision Jameel Ahmed, and Executive Director Banking Syed Irfan Ali, whereas the Standard Chartered delegation was led by Alex Manson, Global Head Transaction Banking, and Shazad Dada, CEO, Standard Chartered Bank, Pakistan.
Previously, Standard Chartered had conducted a workshop in Pakistan for banking professionals to increase awareness of Financial Crime Compliance with the local banking community. The Standard Chartered Correspondent Banking Academy eLearning portal aims to update our correspondent bank clients on regulatory expectations with respect to financial crime and risk compliance.
