MINGORA: Jamaat-e-Islami (JI) Khyber Pakhtunkhwa chief Mushtaq Ahmad Khan said on Sunday that it was the dream of his party to bring development and prosperity to Malakand Division.

Addressing party workers at a training workshop at Markaz-e-Islami in Sangota area of Swat, the JI provincial chief claimed it was due to the efforts of his party that Customs Act in Malakand Division was abolished.  Snatching the credit from the main coalition partner Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, the JI chief also claimed that the steering force behind the Swat Motorway project was his party.

He reiterated that the scenic region would witness a new era of development after the completion of the road project. He added that JI was fulfilling every promise made to the people of Malakand. Mushtaq Ahmad Khan said that the JI congregation on October 22 and 23 in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa would set records in the history of the province. “We want across-the-board accountability for all and sundry as well as wish to bring the plundered national assets back to the country,” he asserted.
