LAHORE
Lahore Waste Management Company (LWMC) will deploy teams of 170 sanitary workers with machinery for maintenance of sanitation at seven major animal markets across the provincial metropolis.
Sanitation arrangements are being made in the animal markets set up by the district government at Shahpur Kanjran, Saggian Interchange, Kamahan Interchange, Kahna Interchange and Bismillah Housing Scheme on GT Road.
LWMC teams will work in three shifts by the second day of Eid-ul-Azha.
The arrangements will also be backed with public awareness activities to sensitise sellers and buyers about maintenance of cleanliness by use of containers for the disposal of waste.
All operational and awareness activities will be monitored and recorded through digital monitoring system and android mobiles.
