Lower Dir police solve woman’s blind murder case

TIMERGARA: The police in Samarbagh in Lower Dir on Thursday resolved the issue of blind murder case of a woman and arrested the father of the slain woman who confessed to have killed his daughter in the name of honor one year ago.

Speaking at a press conference at Samarbagh Police Station, Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) Amjad Khan said Samarbagh police on a tip-off recovered the decomposed body of a 26-year-old woman from the forest of Ghrandi Mor village in Drangal ward one week ago.

“After recovery of the body, the police investigated the case along modern lines and arrested the father of the slain woman Fateh Khan who confessed to have committed the crime,” he said.He added that one year ago the same person had lodged the case with Samarbagh Police Station for the missing of his daughter Marwa Bibi to deceive the law enforcers.

Amjad Khan said Fateh Khan confessed that one year ago he had killed his daughter for her alleged relations with paramour.He appreciated the efforts of SHO Samarbagh Police Station officials who worked hard to resolve the issue of the blind murder case in a short span of time.
