LAHORE
Hot and humid weather prevailed in the provincial capital on Wednesday while for Thursday (today) the Met office predicted scattered rain with thunderstorm.
Met officials said seasonal low lies over northwest Balochistan and adjoining areas. They said monsoon low pressure area lies over east Rajasthan (India) and its adjoining areas and due to this low pressure weak monsoon currents are penetrating eastern parts of the country.
Met office predicted mainly hot and humid weather in most parts of the country. They said rain-thunderstorm is expected at a few places of Lahore, Gujranwala, Mirpurkhas divisions and Kashmir. On Wednesday highest maximum temperature was recorded at Turbat and Sibbi where mercury reached 43°C.
