ISLAMABAD: Indian High Commissioner for Pakistan Dr TCA Raghvan declined to see the pictures of victims of Indian aggression on the LoC and Working Boundary (WB).
The pictures were safe in i-pad of former federal minister Dr Firdous Ashiq Awan who met the Indian envoy in an Arab diplomatic reception Tuesday evening. Dr Firdous who belongs to Sialkot and visited the affected area a day earlier asked the Indian high commissioner to convey about the sufferings of the people living in the area to his government.
The Indian high commissioner instead listening to the former federal minister claimed that people in Jammu were also suffering on account of firing from the other side. He complained that the local commanders hadn’t met since long. Every time the meeting is scuttled and it is also causing trouble. He was hopeful that the DGMO’s of the two countries would be meeting next week and it could result in improvement in the situation.
Dr Firdous Ashiq Awan invited the high commissioner to visit Sialkot and the area adjacent to WB but he refused to oblige her.
