Girls grab first top three positions in federal board HSSC Part-II examinations

The girls following their traditions once again attained first top three positions in the Higher Secondary School Certificate Part-II Annual Examination of Federal Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education. The examinations were held in the months of April to June this year.

The overall pass percentage of regular and private candidates, including ex-candidates, remained 74.33 per cent in the examination this year. Minister of State for Federal Education and Professional Training Baligh ur Rehman was the chief guest at the Result Announcement Ceremony held here at the hall of FBISE on Wednesday.

According to the result announced by the Controller of Examination M Aleem Qureshi the girls belonging to Pre-Medical Group attained all top three positions in the examination. Ms. Ateeqa Hashmi (Roll No. 528725) of Hamza Army Public School and College, Shahrah-e-Stadium Road (Hamza Camp), Rawalpindi, attained overall top first position in the HSSC Part-II annual examination by obtaining 1049 marks. While the second position was shared by Ayesha Aslam (Roll No. 527348) of Fauji Foundation College for Girls, New Lalazar, Rawalpindi, and Rumaisa Maryam (Roll No. 529477) of Army Public School and College for Girls, Range Road Westridge-III, Rawalpindi. Both the girls grabbed 1047 marks in the examination to achieve 2nd top position.

The third position was obtained by Fizza Ayaz (Roll No. 528742) of Hamza Army Public School and College, Shahrah-e-Stadium Road (Hamza Camp), Rawalpindi. She got 1046 marks. However, in Pre-Engineering Group, Muhammad Anus Ali (Roll No. 545448) of Army Public School and College, Chunian Cantonment, managed to achieve some respect for boys students as he got first position by getting 1034 marks in the examination. Anyhow, the girls grabbed second and third top positions in the Pre-Engineering Group as well.

Siddiqa Shakoor (Roll No. 556876) of Fazaia Inter College, Jinnah Camp, Khanna Road, Rawalpindi, secured 1032 marks to remain second in the Pre-Engineering Group and Soha Ayaz (Roll No. 556705) got 1030 marks to win third slot in this group. She belonged to Army Public School and College for Girls, 208 Hamayun Road, Rawalpindi.

In Science General Group, Hafsa Kamal (Roll No. 578623) of Fazaia Inter College, Minhas, Kamra, achieved first position by securing 1001 marks. She was followed by Muhammad Ghayas Baigh (Roll No. 567629) of Fazaia Degree College, Faisal, Karachi, who secured 987 marks to achieve 2nd position in the group. While Javeria Musa (Roll No. 578138) of Fauji Foundation College for Girls, New Lalazar, Rawalpindi Cantonment, got third position in this group by obtaining 981 marks.

In Humanities Group, Muhammad Fahad Kabir (Roll No. 500537) belonging to Institute of Islamic Sciences, Satra Meel (FA), Islamabad, attained first position by getting 956 marks. Bismah Rehman a private student (Roll No. 509815) got 927 marks to remain second.

The third position in Humanities Group was shared by Zahid ur Rehman (Roll No. 500528) of Institute of Islamic Sciences, Satra Meel (FA), Islamabad, and Hala Bibi (Roll No. 512290) of FG Post-Graduate College for Women, Wah Cantonment, as both grabbed 921 marks in the examination.

The supplementary examination of HSSC Part-II would commence from 1st November 2016 as notified by FBISE Controller of Examination on the occasion. The schedule for submission of Admission Forms and Fee was also announced by him.
