Three bullet-riddled bodies found in Swabi
SWABI: Three bullet-riddled bodies were recovered from a deserted area in Gaju Khan on Tuesday, police officials said.
The bodies were recovered in the jurisdiction of Chota Lahor Police Station. When contacted, police officials said it seemed that three people were killed somewhere else and their bodies were thrown in the deserted area.
They said that the slain had been shot dead with point-blank range. The bodies were brought to the Rural Health Centre, Khunda, for postmortem.However, the identity of the victims and the reason behind the killing couldn’t be known.
It may be recalled that two police officials were killed in separate incidents in Swabi district on Monday.Two killed in Swat house fire: Two persons were killed when a room caught fire due to electricity short-circuiting at scenic Malam Jabba in Swat district on Tuesday, official sources said.
They said that Muhammad Dastan and Umar Muhammad were asleep when fire erupted due to short-circuiting. They suffered severe burn injuries.The injured succumbed to their injuries on way to the Saidu Sharif Hospital.
