Qandeel Baloch murder case
MULTAN: Mufti Abdul Qavi on Monday said he would cooperate with the police in the Qandeel Baloch case and rumors that he had gone underground are baseless.
Talking to The News at his ancestral seminary Jamia Obadia at Qadirabad, Mufti Abdul Qavi said that he had not gone underground or disappeared to avoid police investigation. He dispelled all the allegations leveled against him in the Qandeel Baloch case and said the allegations were baseless and against the ground realities. “I am present at my house-cum-seminary and the police can investigate me”, he added.
He said the police had given him a questionnaire carrying 14 questions a couple of days ago and he had submitted all answers. The questionnaire sought answers on books written by him on different topics, he told. Mufti Abdul Qavi informed that questions were asked from him on his cleric and domestic details as well as foreign tours, his family background, his education and public offices.
