Two killed, 14 injured as van strikes against tree

OKARA: Two people were killed and 14 others injured in an accident at Jhakhar Chowk on Friday.
A van was going to Faisalabad from Okara when it struck against a tree while trying to avoid a motorcyclist. As a result, 16 people, including Nadeem, Kiran Bibi, Zahida, Ashraf, Waqas, Ashfaq, Zarina, Fauzia, Shama, Khalid and Amir Siddiq of Faisalabad, were injured. They were shifted to the DHQ Hospital where Amir and an unidentified man died. Police are investigating.
Woman poisoned to death by husband

OKARA: A woman was poisoned to death by her husband over a domestic dispute at Chak 1/SP.
Samina Sadiq and her husband Muhammad Ahmad used to quarrel with each other over domestic issues. On Friday, Ahamd allegedly served drug-mixed food to Samina, which caused her death. Haveli police have registered a case.
