Abid suspends five Lesco Kasur employees for overbilling

KASUR: State Minister for Water and Power Abid Sher Ali on Wednesday suspended and ordered registration of cases against five Lesco Kasur employees for overbilling.
He took this action during his surprise visit to the Lesco Kasur office. He also held an open court and listened to the complaints of the people. Taking action on the public complaints, the minister suspended five employees of Lesco Kasur including meter inspector Arshad Munir of Niaz Nagar feeder and Rai Munir of City sub-division. He also ordered registration of cases against them. Later, talking to media, Abid Sher Ali said that loadshedding would not be observed by the RCC (Bulleh Shah Feeder) and other congested parts of the city in future. He said that the government was taking all steps to eradicate loadshedding. He said that strict action would be taken against those Lesco employees if they found guilty in corruption and overbilling. He announced to visit the city again for resolving public problems on August 24.
