Hangu Nazim fails to present budget due to opposition’s protest
HANGU: The District Council on Tuesday failed to present the Rs3.2 billion budget for the financial year 2016-17 due to the opposition’s ruckus in the hall.
District Nazim Mufti Ubaidullah failed to present the budget for the year 2016-17 amid an uproar and commotion of the opposition councillors.Opposition councillors, including Abdul Shahid, Shad Muhammad Shinwari and others started thumping their desks when the district nazim came to the podium to present the budget.
They said they had not been given enough time to study the budget document and would not allow the district nazim to present the budget till they had studied the financial document.Following the ruckus and commotion at the council hall, the Convener Said Umar adjourned the budget session till August 11.
