Renowned actress Shamim Ara dies in London
ISLAMABAD: Renowned Pakistani actress Shamim Ara breathed her last in London after protracted illness on Friday.
She was a famous actress of the Pakistani film industry. She was living with her son in London. Shamim Ara has performed in many films and proved her worth as an actress. She also directed many films.
President Mamnoon Hussain, Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif, Speaker National Assembly Ayaz Sadiq, Deputy Speaker Murtaza Javed Abbasi and Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif expressed condolence over the death of Shamim Ara.
In their separate messages, they said the contribution of Shamim Ara towards the Pakistani film industry would be long remembered. They also prayed for the departed soul to rest in peace and for the grant of courage to the bereaved family.
