The Anti Narcotics Force (ANF) foiled a bid to smuggle six kilogram heroin worth millions of rupees at Lahore airport on Saturday.
Sources said that ANF personnel along with Airport Security Force (ASF) and Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) security officials during a search of Dubai bound PIA flight PK 230 recovered six kilogram heroin.
The ANF confiscated the recovered heroin. The aircraft was seized and passengers and PIA staffers were being interrogated. A spokesman for PIA urged all investigation agencies to cooperate in the probe and said strict action would be taken against the accused involved in the drugs smuggling bid.
