Police say Mush has no property in DHA

LAHORE

Defense-A police on Saturday informed the District and Sessions Judge Lahore that there is no property of former President Gen (retd) Pervez Musharraf in Defense Housing Authority (DHA).

On Saturday, Sub Inspector Muhammad Azam appeared before the court  to submit a detailed report on property after inquiring the matter from Defense Housing Authority.

Transfer and Record Director Colonel (Retd) Naeem Masood Malik on a letter said that no plot and property existed in CC1/1 Phase III Sector X6X Defense Housing Authority of  Pervez Musharraf.

In previous proceedings, the judge had directed Sub-Inspector Muhammad Azam to submit a report of property.

The judge had issued the instruction in the light of special court orders regarding confiscation of Musharraf’s moveable and immoveable property. 

Two SC benches constituted: Pakistan Chief Justice Anwar Zaheer Jamali has constituted two benches at Lahore registry of the Supreme Court for the week commencing from August 1.

Bench No-I comprises Justice Mian Saqib Nisar and Justice Khilji Arif Hussain while Bench No-II Justice Asif Saeed Khosa, Justice Umar Ata Bandial and Justice Ijazul Shan.

Police, public reps meet: The DIG Operations held a monthly meeting with Members of the National Assembly and Members of the Punjab Assembly here at the office of Capital City Police Officer on Saturday.

He said that the public representatives should play their key role in helping police maintain peace in the City. 

Found dead: A 70-year-old man was found dead near Railway Officers Colony on Saturday.

The man, yet to be identified, was spotted lying dead by locals who informed police.  It is not clear yet whether he died a natural death. Investigation is being carried out.
