FIA wants to make assets part of case

KARACHI: The FIA moved a local court to make all the properties and vehicles bought from the income of Axact’s fake degree part of the case, as the agency submitted all the related details before the district judge (South).
According to sources, the FIA presented the details while informing the court about the separate challan concerning money laundering. In the application No 15/16, the FIA has mentioned Axact CEO Shoaib Shaikh, COO Waqas Atique and others.The sources say the FIA, in the aforementioned application, sought permission to make the properties and vehicles procured from money generatedby Axact.
The Axact head office and the building constructed on a plot in Ibrahim Haideri are also in the list. Other properties included eight plots, a flat as well as two 1,000-yard and five 500-yard bungalows in DHA Karachi.The sources say 45-acre land in DHA Phase VIII and a five-acre plot in Phase VII were also purchased from the income, while an 800-yard plot in Phase VI and the Axact office in Islamabad have been mentioned. Three 225-yard plots and 2,500-yard beach resort in Hawks Bay are also part of the said properties.They say the FIA has also sought permission to make a luxury boat and hundreds of vehicles as part of the case.
