KALAYA: The political administration has assured the elders of Orakzai Agency that the return process of the internally displaced persons (IDPs) will begin within two months.
Speaking at a jirga of the 18 sections of the Orakzai tribe at the Agency Headquarters in Hangu on Monday, Political Agent Muhammad Zubair said the Orakzai tribespeople would receive incentives similar to those given to the IDPs from North Waziristan. He said the government wanted to send home the IDPs after restoration of peace in the Orakzai Agency. Earlier, tribal elders Malik Habib Noor, Malik Jan Amir, Malik Muhammad Rehman and others said that the Orakzai IDPs had been living in other parts of the country for seven years.
They said that IDPs were no more willing to live in camps or rented houses and wanted to return to their native areas as they were presently without basic facilities.National
