Islamabad: Senior Superintendent of Police (Traffic) Malik Matloob Ahmed has said that Islamabad Traffic Police is endeavouring to ensure safe road environment in the city by educating road users about traffic rules.
In his interaction with delegation of Rotary Club here on Wednesday, the SSP (Traffic) said that education teams of ITP visits various educational institutions, government, non-government organizations to deliver lectures about road safety. He said that education campaigns are also launched for the road users to ensure better road sense amongst them.
Implementations on traffic rules also ensure smooth flow of traffic, the SSP (Traffic) said adding that action will continue against the violators of rules especially one-wheelers.
A 25-member delegation led by President Rotary Club Naeem Murtaza was briefed by the SSP about functioning of traffic police and one-window licensing operation. Station Director ITP’s FM Radio Ayesha Jameel briefed the delegation about functioning of radio channel.
