Islamabad

The Alumni Association held the reunion of the old students of the Islamabad College for Girls F-6/2.

The function started with a lot of enthusiasm and fervour by the recitation of some verses from the Quran by Fatima Badar, former Islamait teacher. College anthem, which was written by Farooq Qaiser alias Uncle Sargam, the famous puppeteer, was sung by the old students.

The song charged the audience and raised the same spirit and pride in their institution which they used to feel when they sang it every morning in their student life. Students from all walks of life, local or outstation attended the event.

Video messages by students and teachers from all across the globe were shown in the form of a presentation which were enjoyed amidst tears and laughter. Later on Junaid Sami Khan and some old ICGians sang songs to entertain the audience.

The hall mark of the event was a proposal by ICG Alumni Association to rename School Road after the name of the Pioneer Principal Hajra Nuzhat Pirzada who served this institution for almost three decades as its principal.

The reunion ended with the presentation of shield by the alumni association to the current principal.
