Cash van looted; robbers make away with Rs2mn

A cash van carrying around Rs2 million was looted by four unidentified men, near the Hill Park General Hospital, on Monday.
The men riding a Honda City car reportedly intercepted the International Money Exchange’ cash van and held security guards, Amir and Muhammad, hostage on gunpoint.
The men successfully fled, informed officials of the Ferozabad police station, where a complaint was registered: the complaint was lodged by the owner of the money exchange, Zia-ul-Haq.
The police, however, arrested the security guards of the van after the complaint.
SHO Ferozabad police station, Kenson Den, informed The News that the head office of the money exchange was situated near the Nursery bus stop where the cash van was headed after having collected cash from other outlets.
