Two sisters went missing under mysterious circumstances from Abdullah Haroon Road in Saddar, prompting police to register a kidnapping case against their schoolteacher on Tuesday.

According to the Preedy police, the missing girls, identified as 15-year-old Amna and seven-year-old Ayesha, were residents of Allah Wali Colony, Abdullah Haroon Road. Their father, Azeem, stated in the FIR that both daughters had gone to a nearby seminary on Saturday but did not return home.

“When they didn’t come back, I contacted their teacher, who said she had already given them the day off,” Azeem told the police. Upon further inquiry, he learned that a schoolteacher named Sultan had taken the girls with him in his car.

According to the FIR, the girls study at Hyderi Model School in Hijrat Colony, where Sultan also worked as a teacher. Azeem added that Sultan often dropped his daughters home in his car instead of using the school van and had been giving them expensive gifts.

Amna was a student of class six, while Ayesha studied in class two. Azeem said that since the disappearance of his daughters, the phone number of Sultan had been switched off. Following the registration of the case, the police launched a search operation to recover the girls. Officials said CCTV footage from the surrounding areas and other evidence were being collected to trace their whereabouts.
