Dacoits kill student, injure farmer on resistance

PAKPATTAN: Dacoits killed a student and injured a farmer on resistance in separate incidents here. In the first incident, farmer Waris Ali and his brother Imran were sleeping in a cattle farm at Chak 24/SP when five dacoits entered and tried to take away the animals. In the meantime, Waris and Imran woke up and offered resistance to them. It infuriated the dacoits and they shot at and injured Imran. Police have registered a case.
In the second incident, Noor Ahmad of Mauza Dalil Kay Wattoo and his 17-year-old son Mushtaq Ahmad were going to a private school in Arifwala when two dacoits snatched cash, a gold ring and documents from them. In the meantime, Mushtaq offered resistance to the dacoits. To it, the dacoits shot Mushtaq dead. Police have arrested one accused, M Bakhsh, and registered a case.
