17 MWM workers held for blocking road

OKARA: Renala Khurd Sadr police have booked 230 workers of Majlis Wahdatul Muslimeen (MWM) for blocking GT Road during a demonstration and arrested 17 of them.
Those arrested include Nazeer Abbas, Subah Sadiq, Subah Saeed, Ashiq Hussain, Aqeel Hussain, Zaigham Abbas, Faheem Abbas, Zakir Babar and Ali Husnain. Earlier, the MWM workers staged a demonstration against the target killing of their colleagues and blocked GT Road near Pul Jurian on Friday evening.
NINE BOOKED: Depalpur Sadr police have booked nine people on the charge of getting an accused released from custody of the bailiffs. Bailiffs Muhammad Shahbaz and Shaukat Ali came to Bhuman Shah village and arrested Riaz Tahir against whom a court had issued warrants. When they were about to move, the accused raised hue and cry. To it, Amin, Zakiran Bibi, Samiullah, Kaleemullah and five unidentified people came there and allegedly got the accused released from custody of the bailiffs.
