Two men including an activist of the Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) were gunned down in separate incidents, on Sunday, the police authorities reported.
Thirty-year-old Muhammad Faisal was shot dead by two men while he was sitting outside his residence, situated in Korangi No.6, sector 51-C.
The men, on a motorcycle, opened indiscriminate fire at him with an automatic weapon.
He was taken to the Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Centre (JPMC) where he died during treatment.
Later, MQM activists were stated to have reached the hospital where they launched a protest and also allegedly resorted to aerial firing.
Blaming their rivals for the killing, the activists said the incident was connected with the ongoing killings of its workers all over the city.
The police claimed to have found empty 9mm bullet casings from the crime scene. A case was reported and investigations are underway.
Twenty-eight-year-old Sajid, son of Abdullah, was shot dead by two unidentified men right outside his residence in Orangi Town. He passed away while being taken to the Abbasi Shaheel Hospital.
According to officials of the Iqbal Market police station, they found empty 9mm bullet casings from the spot.
