‘Horse, camel can cause dengue’

Prof Dr Tahir Yaqoob of Microbiology of University of Veterinary and Animal Sciences Saturday said symptoms of dengue fever can develop in human beings owing to breath of horses, camels and donkeys.
Talking to daily Jang, Dr Yaqoob said that people who live near the animals are prone to develop dengue. He said as a biologist he knew such developments of virus. Dr Yaqoob said once during checking of blood of a dengue patient, he and his team members found such elements in the blood of the patient which are present in breath of animals. He said such kind of germs cause dengue-like symptoms in human beings.
