Two friends crushed by MNA’s car

FAISALABAD: Two friends were crushed to death by a speeding car of an MNA on Canal Road near Pipanwala Pul on Wednesday night.

Naveed and Usman, residents of Data Park and Mansoor Abad, were going on a motorcycle when MNA Asim Nazir’s car driven by Shafqat Ali crushed them to death. The MNA’s two guards, Tajamal and Abdul Sattar, were accompanying driver Shafqat at the time of the incident. After the mishap, the driver tried to escape from the spot, but patrolling officials of Mansoorabad police station chased the car and took the driver and two guards in custody.

 

Move On Pakistan chief remanded

FAISALABAD: Civil Judge Ali Raza has granted 2-day remand of Move On Pakistan chairman Mian Muhammad Kamran, who was arrested from Islamabad on Wednesday and brought to Faisalabad.

On Thursday, Kamran was produced in the court by Kotwali SHO Inspector Malik Shahid and the court granted the remand.

The police, on the complaint of Amer Shahzad, registered a case against Kamran under various sections of the PPC on Wednesday. Amer had pointed out that Kamran had displayed some ‘controversial posters’ carrying the photograph of COAS Gen Raheel Sharif in Faisalabad and other cities.

 

Madrassa student kidnapped

FAISALABAD: A madrassa student was kidnapped here.

In a complaint lodged with the DSP Peoples Colony, Malik Muhammad Sultan of Bhaiwala said his son Tayyab Sultan, student of a madrassa near Municipal Degree College, Abdullahpur, went missing on July 19 and despite best efforts he could not be recovered so far. He said Tayyab’s cell phone was inoperative. Sultan apprehended that his son had been kidnapped by a gang of kidnappers and appealed to the police to help recover his missing son.

 

Failure to pass Matric exam

Two students commit suicide

FAISALABAD: Two students committed suicide after they failed to pass the Secondary Schools Examination 2016 conducted by the BISE Faisalabad.

Farman of Chak 197/RB and Numan of Jaranwala Road committed suicide by taking poisonous pills on Thursday.

TWO MURDERED: Two persons, including a woman, were murdered over domestic issues on Thursday.

Ghulam Murtaza alleged killed his father Allah Ditta over a domestic dispute at of Muhammadi Chowk, Peoples Colony.

In another incident, Abdur Rahman alleged shot her sister Aysha Bibi dead and injured her husband Waheed Ahmad.
