KARACHI: After delivering power-packed performances in Piku and Talvar, Bollywood and internationally fame actor Irrfan Khan will be back on the silver screen with his new film Madaari. Directed by Nishikant Kamat, the film is based on a real life incident that resulted in people getting injured and it also led to losses of lives. It is based on an event that took place at the under-construction overhead Metro Bridge. Geo Films releases this film in Pakistan on Friday.

What happens when a heartbroken man decides to strike back? 'Madaari' gives a glimpse into the anguish of a father who is burning in the fire of hate and revenge. Known for his action and realistic films, Nishikant Kamat has directed films like Dombivli Fastand Mumbai Meri Jaan.

Irrfan Khan plays an emotional father in this film but it seems the actor will also have a mysterious streak to his role. Irrfan plays the role of a father who loses his son in a bridge collapse and struggles for his justice and also for the affected families. On the other hand, it is being said that Jimmy Shergill plays the role of a CBI officer. Filmmaker Nishikant Kamat has undertaken immense research for an extensive period of time for the movie.

Bollywood has wholeheartedly praised Irrfan Khan-starrer-movie 'Madaari', which is releasing on Friday. A day before its release, the cast and crew of the film held a special screening in New Delhi last night, with celebrities like Amitabh Bachchan, Shah Rukh Khan, Kangana Ranaut, Tabu, Kriti Sanon, Bhumi Pednekar and Rajkummar Rao in attendance. Shortly, after watching the movie, stars took to the mirco-blogging site Twitter to applaud the movie. All are agreed that Madaari is a film you can't miss. Moving, powerful, emotional & so relevant, Madari will blow your mind. Must watch.

On the other hand after meeting with Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal, Irrfan Khan said he has realised that politicians have their own challenges, and that “one man can’t change the system”. Irrfan said, “Everyone will have to come together” to bring about the changes they want to see. About 'Madaari', Irrfan also said: "The film is a thriller, the film is talking about you. It is talking about 150 crore people, that there is a hero in every person and when that person wakes up, no one can face that person.

"About the experience of working with director Nishikant Kamat, he said: "It felt very good. The film is a solid thriller, you will enjoy it. There is a message in it. People will take their message on their own."
