Two men receive extortion calls in Lalamusa

LALAMUSA: Two people received extortion calls here.
In the first incident, Irfan Hameed Butt, a resident of River Garden, received a threatening phone call from an unidentified man, demanding an extortion amount of $125,000. The caller issued a warning, threatening to harm Butt’s son if the payment was not made. Sadr police have registered a case and started investigation.
In the second incident, Nadir Ali fell victim to an extortionist, Ahsan. Police reported that the accused threatened Ali on two occasions - both personally and financially - before forcibly extracting Rs 500,000 from him. Karianwala police have registered a case.
