94.2pc CIE students clear NED University’s entrance test
Cambridge International Education (CIE) has topped the NED University’s entrance test with 94.2 per cent of its students clearing it. The Federal Board came in second with 78.6 per cent, and the Karachi Board third with 76.7 per cent.
However, a significant majority of the students who had secured A1 and A grades from educational boards in interior Sindh failed the test, while the passing mark in the test was only 50 per cent.
A total of 68.1 per cent of the students passed in this first phase of the test, in which 9,388 students participated and 6,398 students cleared it. Out of a total of 764 students from the Hyderabad Board who participated in the test, 406 failed.
Similarly, 322 students from the Larkana Board participated and 219 failed, 522 from the Mirpurkhas Board participated and 308 failed, 261 from the Nawabshah Board participated and 144 failed, and 266 from the Sukkur Board participated and 176 failed.
Moreover, 5,951 students from the Karachi Board participated and 4,564 cleared, 257 from the Federal Board participated and 202 cleared, and 483 from the CIE participated and 455 cleared.
