ISLAMABAD: Minister for Defence Khawaja Muhammad Asif on Monday said that he respected the vote bank of the Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) but the statements given by its chief Altaf Hussain against the state institutions were not permissible in any way.
Talking to a news channel, the minister said Altaf Hussain was issuing irresponsible statements from London, adding, the MQM leader should come to Pakistan for doing politics.He said the MQM chief could not take stand on his statement over the night, as he sought pardon at night on his statements given in the day.
Asif said that Pakistan Army and other security institutions were fighting against terrorism with fortitude and got remarkable successes.Replying to a question, he said that the nation was united and security forces of the country were ready to face any challenge to the country including terrorism. The personnel of armed forces were already being rendering their precious lives for the nation’s future.
