PTI, PPP are political orphans: Abid
From Our Correspondent/APP
FAISALABAD: State Minister for Water and Power Abid Sher Ali on Wednesday said the people would once again reject the nefarious designs of those who hatched conspiracies in the next general elections.
Talking to media men, he termed the PTI, PPP and other parties as political orphans and said they were not contributing anything useful for the welfare and betterment of the country.
He said the political orphans ruled over the country for 10 years but they, instead of doing anything positive for Pakistan, destabilised its economy.
The PML N government under the dynamic leadership of Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif put the country on the way to progress and prosperity within three years, he said.
Abid said some elements were hatching conspiracies against the PML N government with negative propaganda but the people had rejected them.
He said the government had launched a crackdown against power pilferers and the operation would remain continue without any discrimination.
Earlier on Eid day, Abid Ali visited the Child Protection and Welfare on Eid day and met the children, while cutting Eid cake.
He said the Punjab government had taken a number of steps for the welfare of the deprived children and Child Protection Bureau was being made strengthened for rehabilitating street children. He added that Child Protection Bureau Complex would be established at Millat Road at a cost of Rs 430 million.
Later, the state minister visited the DHQ Hospital and distributed the Eid gifts among the patients and presented bouquet to them.
