New UAE envoy set to assume charge

ISLAMABAD: Pakistan has given consent for the appointment of Salem Mohammed Al-Zaabi as the new ambassador of the United Arab Emirates (UAE) to Pakistan.
Highly placed sources told The News/Jang here Friday that the outgoing Ambassador of the UAE Hamad Obaid Ibrahim Salem Al-Zaabi is engaged in meetings with the dignitaries of national stature and he has told them about his fresh posting.
The sources said that ambassador Hamad Obaid Ibrahim Salem Al-Zaabi will start his farewell meetings with the top officials including President Asif Ali Zardari, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and Chief of the Army Staff (COAS) Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir in due course of time.
