IGP inaugurates checkpost in Hangu
HANGU: Inspector General of Police Nasir Khan Durrani on Tuesday inaugurated a police checkpost at the boundary of Kurram Agency.
Speaking after inaugurating the Torghar Checkpost, he said that the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa police had rendered sacrifices for maintaining law and order in the province.
He also distributed Eid gifts among cops and visited Thall bazaar.
The IGP said that police had been performing duties without any political pressure for the last three years.
He said that law-enforcement agencies’ performance was dependant on the cooperation from the local population.
House attacked with hand-grenade in Peshawar: A house was attacked with hand-grenade in Dir Colony on Tuesday.
Locals said unidentified men lobbed a hand-grenade into the house of one Haji Usman in the Dir Colony that went off with a big bang. No casualty was reported, however, in the blast.
