Encroachment chokehold
It is deeply regrettable that despite the daily visits of senior government functionaries, no effective action has been taken to address the blatant encroachments that choke the heart of Karachi’s judicial district. It is shocking that vehicles are permanently parked along the main road and only a narrow bottleneck is left for movement. This inaction by the authorities reflects an alarming disregard for the rule of law.
If justice begins at the courts, the surroundings of these courts should at least reflect order, not chaos. I request the relevant civil and law-enforcement authorities to take immediate, lawful action to clear the encroachments in the city court area. The rule of law must begin at the gates of the judiciary itself.
