Iran military chief thanks Pakistan for support during US-Israeli aggression
TEHRAN: Chairman of the Chief of Staff of Iran’s Armed Forces Major General Abdolrahim Mousavi has thanked Pakistan for standing alongside the Islamic Republic during the unprovoked war of aggression by the Israeli regime and the United States, IRNA reported.
In a telephone conversation on Sunday with Pakistan’s Chief of the Army Staff Field Marshal Asim Munir, Major General Mousavi discussed the ongoing defence diplomacy in the wake of the 12-day war.
“In the 12-day imposed war,” he stated, “the United States spared no effort in aiding the Zionist regime — not only participating in the aggression but also deploying all its capabilities to defend it against Iran’s missile and drone attacks.”
“Alongside the US, several other Western countries also offered both verbal and practical support to the enemy,” he added.
The top general emphasized, “Although we suffered losses, including the martyrdom of great and worthy commanders at the outset of this war, we thwarted the enemy’s objectives to such an extent that they were ultimately forced to request a ceasefire.”
Israel launched the aggression on June 13, three days before

The United States joined the war on June 22, launching airstrikes on three of Iran’s nuclear sites in Fordow, Isfahan, and Natanz.
