PESHAWAR: Adviser to Chief Minister on Information Barrister Muhammad Ali Saif on Saturday said that the provincial budget would be approved after consultation with PTI founder Imran Khan.
He emphasized that since the public voted for Imran Khan, the approval of the budget was conditional upon his consultation. The adviser said that the public would not tolerate disrespect to their mandate. “If any attempt is made to impose any kind of emergency in the province, the fake government will not last even a single day,” he said. He made it clear that the authority to dissolve the provincial assembly rested solely with the chief minister.
Barrister Saif asserted that Khyber Pakhtunkhwa was the only province where the government was a true representative of the public based on Form 45, whereas the federal and other provincial governments were relying on a fake foundation of Form 47.
He claimed that these governments were so weak that even a slight push would be enough to bring them down. He further stated that since the people of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa voted for Imran Khan, all important decisions would be made with his consultation. He warned the federal government to refrain from using cheap tactics and to arrange a meeting with Imran Khan as soon as possible.
Barrister Saif accused the federal government of hatching plans to weaken the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government, which was tantamount to weakening Pakistan. He said the people were being punished for voting for Imran Khan, despite the fact that Khyber Pakhtunkhwa was a vital part of the federation.
He warned that any conspiracy by the federal government against Khyber Pakhtunkhwa would lead to serious consequences. He said that under Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur, the development process in the province was progressing rapidly. “The federal government cannot digest this. That is why new conspiracies are being hatched every day,” he said.
He stated that Khyber Pakhtunkhwa was the stronghold of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) and that the movement for Imran Khan’s release would be led from here in full force. He said that false cases were filed to imprison Imran Khan, but soon all these fabricated cases would be dismissed and Imran Khan’s release would be secured.
