Rs346m grant approval for PIC welcomed
PESHAWAR : Advisor to the chief minister on Health, Ihtisham Ali, has welcomed the provincial cabinet’s approval of Rs346 million grant for the procurement of modern medical equipment for the Peshawar Institute of Cardiology (PIC).
He said that under the leadership of Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur, the government of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa is committed to public welfare and does not let go of any initiative that serves the people. The approval of all health-related ADP schemes in the current budget is a clear testament to this commitment. Ihtisham Ali stated that the Peshawar Institute of Cardiology is a state-of-the-art public sector facility and the only specialized institution for heart diseases in KP. With this grant, modern diagnostic and treatment equipment will be procured to enhance the hospital’s capacity and bring advanced cardiac care within reach of the public. He further informed that during the cabinet meeting, several other important health-related items were approved.
