MoU signed for recruitment in Safe City Project

PESHAWAR: A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed between the Safe City Project Peshawar and the Educational Testing and Evaluation Agency (ETEA) for recruitment.

Inspector General of Police Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Zulfiqar Hameed, Additional IGP Headquarters Awal Khan, DIG Headquarters Rizwan Manzoor, Director IT Naveed Gul and others were present on the occasion. Director Safe City Project, DIG Rai Ijaz Ahmed and Executive Director of ETEA Adil Saeed Safi, signed the agreement. Under the agreement, ETEA will enlist eligible candidates for the Safe City Project Peshawar through written examinations, skill tests and interviews.

The recruitment process will be completed under a transparent, fair and merit-based procedure in which the qualifications of the candidates will be given top priority.The selected candidates will be provided training in modern surveillance systems, CCTV networks, facial recognition systems, digital communication and other security software.

It merits mention here that under the Safe City Project Peshawar, modern camera monitoring, integrated command and control centres and emergency response systems are being established in the cities.
