‘Muharram’s code of conduct to be implemented at all costs’
Rawalpindi:SSP Operations Rawalpindi Kashif Zulfiqar on Wednesday said the implementation of the Punjab Home Department''s code of conduct and standard operating procedures (SOPs) regarding Muharram-ul-Haram would be ensured at all costs.
He was chairing a meeting here at the Sub-Divisional Police Officer (SDPO) City Office. The Superintendent of Police Rawal, SDPO City, station house officers, detective foot constables, and Imambargah custodians attended the meeting.
The Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) observed that the people would be allowed to attend gatherings/processions after passing a walk-through gate and full body search. As per the SOPs, he observed, all the gatherings and processions should start and end according to their scheduled time.
