PU organises World Olympic Day events
LAHORE:In connection with World Olympic Day, Punjab University Sports Department organised a cycling and skating rally from the Vice Chancellor’s Office to the Sports Gymnasium.
On this occasion, PU VC Prof Dr M Ali, Registrar Dr Ahmed Islam, Director Sports Dr Shabbir Sarwar, Secretary Pakistan Cycling Federation Moazzam Khan, Ahmar Malik from Pakistan Olympic Association, faculty members, students and children were present. PU VC Prof Dr M Ali participated in the rally by cycling, while children performed tricks wearing skating shoes. Addressing the ceremony, Prof Dr M Ali appreciated the children’s performance, adding the promotion of healthy activities is our top priority and children should be kept busy especially in sports. He said that by promoting cycling, we can play a role in improving the environment.
