PITB begins reimbursement of global IT certification fees
LAHORE:The Punjab Information Technology Board (PITB) has officially commenced the reimbursement process for candidates who successfully obtained international certifications under the Global IT Certifications initiative, a flagship programme of the Punjab government aimed at empowering aspiring professionals with globally recognised digital competencies.
The reimbursement activity was presided over by PITB Director General (DG) e-Governance Sajid Latif, alongside Director Skills Development Wing Chaudhry Ahmad Islam. The event brought together certified candidates from diverse professional and academic backgrounds, including those working at software houses and studying at various educational institutions.
Talking about the initiative, the PITB Chairman Faisal Yousaf reiterated PITB’s commitment to fostering a digitally skilled workforce that meets the evolving demands of the global tech industry. 'The Global IT Certifications programme enables citizens across Punjab—regardless of academic background or prior work experience—to earn certifications from internationally acclaimed tech companies,' he stated. The Punjab government reimburses the course fee for candidates who successfully pass their selected certifications.
